Russian oil production can be increased by somewhere around 120 million tons per year, if additional dthe evelopment of the old, previously depleted oil reservoirs, will be carried out, according to the scientists from the Institute of Oil and Gas Problems, Russian Academy of Sciences (IPNG RAS), teknoblog.ru informs.
"Even in actively developed fields 40-50% were underdeveloped, while the national average was up to 60-70% oil, which could actually be picked up - the director of IPNG RAS Anatoliy Dmitriyesvkiy stated.
