Serbia to Hold Negotiations with Russia and the West about South Stream

The Government of Serbia plans to discuss with its Russian and Western partners the situation with the shutdown of the South Stream project. The President of Serbia, T. Nikolich, said: “It looks like a hide-and-seek game between the East and West and we suffer”.

He called the situation to be more than unpleasant.

Previously the Prime Minister of Serbia, A. Vuchich, said that Serbia made a lot of efforts into the South Stream within the last 7 years and “hadn’t turned away from it even under pressure”. The construction of a 422 km long route site of the gas pipeline was planned in Serbia.
