Russian gas transit via the Ukraine is down by 40%

The transit of Russian gas via the territory of the Ukraine to Europe is down by 14.9% in January-August 2014 year-on-year and made up 46.319 billion cubic meters. The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and the Coal Industry made this data public, IA REGNUM reports.

According to the data, natural gas transit in August went down by 37.9% against August last year and made up 4.539 billion cubic meters.
