A joint venture of Rosneft, Lukoil and Gazprom receives a license for the West-Rakushechnoye field

Caspian oil company (the joint venture of Rosneft, Lukoil and Gazprom) has received the license for exploration and extraction at the West-Rakushechnoye field in the Caspian Sea, the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev reported.

“Yesterday I signed a document on granting of right to use the West-Rakushechnoye field with the aim of exploration and extraction to Caspian oil company, where Rosneft, Lukoil and Gazprom for appearances' sake work,” – the Prime Minister said at the meeting on issues of subsoil use and transportation of hydrocarbons in the Caspian Sea.
