Americans to move Russia into second place in World production of gas and oil

The shale revolution in the USA is payin dividends. At the end of this year or at the beginning of the next year Americans will become leaders in the World in total production of gas and oil, moving Russia into  second place. The corresponding forecast was published on site of the Wall Street Journal on October, 2nd.

Analysts of the Wall Street Journal predict that the USA will achieve the first place in the world in the total production of gas and oil. Today Russia is the leader at this rate, but in recent years the USA increases its oil production, first of all at fields in Texas and North Dakota; in addition, due to dramatic gas production because of the fast development of shale deposits the USA is gradually turning from the largest energy sources importer into an exporter. According to experts, Americans will completely stop to its import of oil by 2025 and will start to sell it abroad. In the recent five years, the import of crude oil into the USA fell by 15%, and the gas import by 32%. And this is happening not because of the consumption fall, but because of the increase of the domestic production.
