Naftogaz is looking to American gas

Naftogaz Ukraine negotiates with the potential LNG suppliers from the USA to Europe about the construction of a gas pipeline fom Poland. The project will load the Ukrainian underground gas storages with American fuel. The Deputy Chairman of the management board of Naftogaz, A. Todiychuk says that construction of the gas pipeline will enable to inject gas that Poland will get after construction of an LNG terminal in Świnoujście. The capacity of the pipeline from Poland to the Ukraine can reach 7-10 billion cubic m of gas annually. It will enable to introduce to the Ukrainian underground gas storages possessing spare capacities of 12 billion cubic m now to North – South gas corridor that will connect the LNG terminal in Świnoujście and the same object at the Croatian island of Krk.
