China will pay to Russia $360 per 1,000 cubic m of gas

Gazprom will supply gas to China by price close to the sum paid by Germany, the largest importer of Russian gas. The base price will be $360 per 1,000 cubic m of gas, two sources claim, Vedomosti writes referring to Bloomberg.

Last year Germany paid $366 per 1,000 cubic m that was one of the lowest prices for Russian gas. Germany has bought gas in Russia for 40 years, and imports 40.2 billion cubic m, nearly 25% of total Russian gas supplies to Europe. In 2013, average price for Europe was $380.

The pipeline gas will cost to China $395 per 1,000 cubic m of gas, under the evaluation of VTB Capital, $370-380 (Renaissance Capital), or $380 (Alfa Bank). A Chinese official told Bloomberg before that CNPC would pay $350 per 1,000 cubic m of gas.
