Statements of Gazprom about illegality of reverse gas supplies is a sign of weakness

Repeated statements of Russian Gazprom’s representatives about illegality of reverse supplies of natural gas by the Ukraine is a sign of weakness of the Russian company, the Nomos’ Director of Energy Programs Mikhail Gonchar thinks.
“These statements are the indicator that Gazprom is seriously nervous and anxious, because it can’t do anything from the legal point of view: neither in relation to the German company RWE, nor in relation of Naftogas Ukrainy,” - the Interfax-Ukraina cites Gonchar.
According to him, from the point of view of the European energy law, actions of RWE absolutely meet as the spirit, as the letter of the corresponding directives of the European Union.
