By 2016, Petersburg complex mining party to finish works at South Ladoga area

Specialists of Petersburg complex geological expedition (PKGE, a part of Rosgeologiya) have began the final stage of field work at the South Ladoga area in the Leningrad region, Rosgeologiya reports.

Audit of available data on different minerals of the territory has been already performed. As part of the evaluation of the prospects for diamonds and precious metals heavy mineral concentrate sampling of the northern part of the area, which remained a "white spot", was carried out. The works enabled to make a complete map of distribution of placer minerals- diamond satellite at the area; it will enable to rationally plan subsequent exploration.
