Naftogaz Ukrainy to be divided into two companies

Naftogaz Ukrainy will be divided into two separate companies, the Prime Minister of the Ukraine, Arseny Yatsenyuk informed. The first enterprise will be engaged into transportation of “blue fuel”, and the second one will be operator of underground gas storages, the Government head specified.

During his speech at the session of the Verkhovna Rada, Yatsenyuk added that in future the companies will be named the "Ukrainian gas transportation system" and the "Ukrainian gas storage facilities". Besides, he stated the government appealed to the leadership of the European Union and the USA with a proposal on the organization of joint operation and upgrade of the gas transportation system.
