CNPC doesn’t confirm oil purchase by the contract with Rosneft in 2014

CNPC (China) hasn’t yet confirmed the readiness to increase the imports of the Russian oil by the new contract with Rosneft up to 2 mln tons in 2014.

A source in Rosneft has confirmed the information that China has yet confirmed the imports of only 600 thousand tons out of the stated in the intergovernmental agreement of 2 mln tons.

We execute obligations by the contract in the framework of up to 2 mln tons. For this year China has confirmed only the acceptation of only 600 thousand tons with the possibility of a rise, the source said.

Rosneft doesn’t officially comment on the situation.
