A.Miller. We're still going to build the South Stream.

Gazprom and partners will still build the South Stream main gas pipeline, despite the negative comments of the EU Energy Comissioner G.Oettinger on the draft, Alexei Miller, the CEO of Gazprom, stated on the air of the Russian TV channel.

"No one can forbid us to build the South Stream, so the construction will continue", - he stated, adding that there is a regulatory issue, but it applies to the operation of the pipeline.

Miller added that the 1st branch of the main pipeline is scheduled to be put into operation for late 2015, and the time to discuss with the issues the Euro Commission still remains.

Lets recall that on June 1 2014, G.Oettinger, the EU Energy Commissioner, stated that the South Stream main gas pipeline project will not move until Russia changes its course on the political crisis in Ukraine.
