In Q1, Rosneft reduced oil production by 1%

In the first quarter of 2015, the largest Russian and one of the largest oil company in the world Rosneft reduced oil production by 1%.

According to the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector, in January-March 2015, the company produced 46.8 million tons of oil, while a year ago the rate was 47.3 million tons. At the same time, the oil production by its subsidiary Yuganskneftegaz, on which more than 1/3 of all liquid hydrocarbons, produced by Rosneft in Russia, falls, decreased by 3.6% to 15.5 million tons.

Meanwhile, according to representative of Rosneft, the company confirms its plans for the maintenance of the hydrocarbon production at the level of the previous year. Fluctuations in the production are connected with the fact that in a real situation the main task is to ensure the effectiveness of all activities, including production and exploration, processing and sales, he said.
