Gazprom has agreed with Bank of China on a 2 bln euro loan

​Gazprom will be issued a loan of 2 bln euro by the Bank of China. The period of the loan agreement is 5 years. The documents are to be signed today in Shanghai.

This is the largest deal in the history of Gazprom by the volume of financing attracted directly at one organization and the first 2-party agreement with the Bank of China.

The Vice-President of the Bank of China, G. Insin, and deputy chairman of Gazprom, A. Kruglov, discussed the perspectives of cooperation between the organizations.

Gazprom was reported to try to agree with a pool of international banks on the attraction of a club-deal credit for up to $2.5 bln for the period of up to 5 years. It is not clear what interest rate Gazprom hopes for.
