Gazprom plans to start the construction of Ukhta-Torzhok-2 gas pipeline

​Gazprom plans to start the active stage of works on the construction of the second branch of the Ukhta-Torzhok-2 gas pipeline.

Currently the site is being cleared, equipment and material and technical resources, in particular, pipes are being transferred to the republic of Komi. It is planned to start the direct works on the route in March 2016, the regional administration reports.

The agency added that the agreements with the general contractors had been signed –Stroigasconsulting, Stroigasmontazh and Stroitransgas.

The main range of works are planned to be completed in 2019. The participants of the working group also discussed the issues of assessment and calculation of expenditure on the elimination of the harm done to roads at the construction of the gas pipeline, issue of lands, acceleration of realization of the investment project on the gas supply to the Syktyvkar industrial hub. The length of the engaged by Gazprom roads is 384.6 km.
