Capacities on the production of rolled products with coating keep growing in Russia

​Rolled products with coating are profitable metal products with the added value. In the conditions of total over-production, zinced and colored steel are one of the few deficit segments of the metals market. That’s why on the background of the investment fall into the metallurgical sector, all the largest domestic players of the market as well as Chinese investors have announced of the construction of new and expansion of the existing capacities on the output of steel with coating.

Recently there have been announced many projects in Russia on the expansion of production of rolled products with coating, including by Severstal, NLMK, LMZ etc. MMK plans the construction and launch of a new zincing line with the capacity of 450 thousand tons until 2018. It might be decided on the additional construction of a polymer coating unit for this object. Besides the domestic producers there are a number of projects of foreign investors, primarily, from China. These are such players of the market as “Raduga Zinc List”, East Steel, RusTechnologies etc.
