The government of Buryatia expected that in 2016 the mining companies of the republic would produce 6.84 tons of gold, which was 6% (400 kg) more than expected at the end of 2015, the Minister of Natural Resources of the Republic Yuriy Safyanov stated at a meeting of the working group in the People's Khural (legislative Assembly) of Buryatia.
"In the short term, we expect that placer gold will encounter small growth, long-term prospects are associated with the work of JSC "Buryatzoloto", - local media quotes the Minister.
