Putin enacted the bill on LNG export liberalization

On November 30th, the president of the Russian Federation, V.Putin enacted the bill on LNG export liberalization. As a result, Gazprom is only going to be a monopolist in the part of pipeline gas supplies abroad, is said on the official portal of the legal information.

Under the law, those companies, which license considered LNG plant construction as of January 1st, 2013 and the ones with more than 50% of state participation, developing subsurface sites within the boundaries of internal sea waters, territorial sea and continental shelf, inclusive of the Black and Azov Seas will get right for an export of liquefied gas.
