In 2014, Russia will consume 17.7 million tons of sort steel, by 2.4% less than in 2013, E. Vinogradov, the director of the analytical department of Metal Expert magazine says in his report at the conference Sort Steel and Hardware Markets held in Sochi by Business-Forum and Metal Expert companies.
The situation is much more pessimistic at the Ukrainian sort steel market. Consumption was 2.5 million tons in 2013 compared to the awaited result of 2.13 million tons in 2014; thus, the decline is 15%.
