Lukoil can leave NNK developing project in Venezuela

The largest Russian private oil company Lukoil is going to sell its 20% shareholding in the National Oil Consortium LLC (NNK) developing Hunin-6 project in Venezuela. Last week Lukoil warned about its  intent to its partners in the consortium, Rosneft and Gazprom Neft. It’s connected with optimization of its assets portfolio. The sources of Kommersant claim that Lukoil is dissatisfied with the role of the financial investor with large capital expenses and ambiguous prospects of compensation. Lukoil values its shareholding at $200 million.
