SOCAR reduced oil export from Supsa port by 12% in January-May 2016

​SOCAR in January-May 2016 exported from the port of Supsa 1 mln 40.947 thousand tons of Azeri oil which is pumped by the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline.

In January-May 2015 SOCAR exported 1 mln 18588 mln tons of oil from the port of Supsa. Thus in January-May 2016 the oil export from the port of Supsa fell by 12.3%.

In May 2016 the company exported 264.748 thousand tons of oil from Supsa port.

In 2015 SOCAR exported 2 mln 794.905 thousand tons of oil from Supsa port.

The Baku-Supsa oil pipeline was put into operation in April 1999.

Its length makes up 837 km, diameter -530 mm.

The pipeline with the throughput capacity of 7.5 mln tons of oil a year was constructed in the framework of the contract for the development of ACG deposits.
