​Gazprom’s need in large diameter pipes is assessed at 10 mln tons until 2022 or on average 2 mln tons a year, the chairman of the coordination council of the Association of Pipe producers, I. Shabalov, said.

Until 2030 the need in large diameter pipes might be another 5 mln tons and these volumes don’t take into account the need for repair works, he said.

According to Mr. Shabalov, as of May 2015 Gazprom has already contracted 1.3 mln tons of large diameter pipes, by the end of the year the total purchase will make up 2 mln tons.
