The European Commission can’t stop implementation of the South Stream project; in December of 2015, the first gas will go to Bulgaria via offshore section, head of Gazprom Alexei Miller stated on May, 31st.

"The European Commission can’t stop the construction, nobody can forbid anyone to build anything. And our answer is very simple. In December of 2015, in December of the next year, the first gas will be supplied through the Black Sea via marine pipe to Bulgaria, to the European Union," - he said.

He also confirmed that representatives of Greece appealed to Gazprom with a request to construct a branch from this pipeline to their country.
