Gazprom postpones introduction of prepayment for the Ukraine

Gazprom has postponed the decision on the introduction of prepayment for the Ukraine to June 9th, the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller reported to journalists.

"The Ukraine has paid the first tranche for the gas supplies. Today Gazprom received $786 million. We welcome the start of the debt repayment by the Ukraine and postpone the prepayment regime to June, 9th. The introduction of the prepayment regime will depend on the full repayment of the debt for gas, delivered before April 1st, in the amount of $2.237 billion, part of which was paid today, and on progress in payments for deliveries in April and May. Payment for May must be made before June, 9th,"- he said.
