Apple cannot do without metals from Russia.

Apple requires Russian gold, tungsten, tantalum and tin, as follows from the published report of The United States Securities and Exchange Commission, (SEC). These metals are used in the production of the iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod, Apple TV and accessories for them.

In 2013 Apple bought gold in Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk and other cities. The suppliers were from the Novosibirsk refinery, the Ekaterinburg plant processing of non-ferrous metals, Uralelectromed, the Moscow plant for processing special alloys, Krastsvetmet, the Shchelkovsk plant of secondary precious metals, the Kolyma refinery and the Prioksk nonferrous metals plant.

Another three Russian companies that supply Apple with other metals – are the Solikamsk Magnesium Plant with tantalum, the Wolfram company with tungsten and the Novosibirsk Tin Works with tin.
