The Russian Nature Supervision Agency of Yamal has fired Arcticgaz for non-normative associated oil gas burning

The Russian Nature Supervision Agency of Yamal has checked the activities of the Arctic Gas Company JSC, Arcticgaz. The company holds the subsoil use license for hydrocarbons exploration at the Samburg license site. Under the designated documentation, the use of associated oil gas should have been 90% in 2013, and 96% later. In 2013, Arcticgaz extracted at the deposit 22,800 tons of oil and 26.5 million cubic m of associated oil gas. Having violated the designated documentation, the whole volume of associated oil gas was burnt in torches. Neither this year associated oil gas is utilized either.
