Analysts believe, Lukoil has not overpaid for Samara-naphta

Experts believe, Lukoil hasn’t overpaid for Samara-naphta CJSC – the investments are justified from the point of possible growth of extraction and developed infrastructure in the region.

Lukoil and owners of Samara-naphta (American Hess Corporation) have signed an agreement about selling of 100% of the company dealing with oil extraction in the Samara and Ulyanovsk Regions. The amount of the transaction made up 2.05 billion USD, though previously the asset was assessed in 1.6 billion USD at most.
