The Ukraine imported 2.1 bln cubic m of gas from Europe in Jan-Feb 2016

​The Ukraine imported 2.1 bln cubic m of gas from Europe in Jan-Feb 2016 that meets the volumes of 2015.

Ukrtransgas reported that as of March 1st 2016 gas volume at the underground storages made up 10 bln cubic m, which is a record for the past years.

In February 1.2 bln cubic m were imported, 90% of which by the Slovakia corridor. The maximum daily gas import in February made up 44.3 mln cubic m.

V. Demchishin said that the country would do without the Russian gas. The Ministry of Energy plans to have 9 bln cubic m of gas at the end of the heating season, by 2 bln more than planned. In January the Ukraine imported 0.915 bln cubic m of gas from Europe.
