Rosneft and ExxonMobil have cancelled the contract with Siem Offshore due to the sanctions, Bloomberg reports. The ships should have been used for the Arctic shelf exploration in the Kara Sea. The contract should have acted in 2015. It was closed for 2 service ships and for an oil platform supply ship. A fine is charged for cancelling of the contracts, and the volume is not made public.

They reported on September 19th that Rosneft and ExxonMobil stopped drilling at the shelf due to the US sanctions against Russia. The object was the Universitetskaya platform, and they have invested $700 million to its development.
