Kazakhstan’s plans on oil production are on the edge of frustration

Oil production suspension at the Kashagan field can lead to the nonfulfillment of the Kazakh oil production plan in the amount of 82 million tons for 2013,  Interfax reports, referring to the country’s Ministry of oil and gas.

  • According to the plan (of oil production), 82 million tons is expected, including taking into account the production at the Kashagan field. In September, the production at the field started. But because of objective causes - gas seepage – the production is carried out behind the schedule that can lead to failure to reach the annual plan, - the Ministry of oil notes.

The Ministry takes all necessary measures to achieve the production plan. At the same time, it reported that according to the medium-term rolling production plan (was made in September), 16.22 million barrels of oil are planned to be produced before the end of the year.
