Russia to switch part of transit gas via the Ukraine to Nord Stream

Russia will switch part of the transit gas from the Ukrainian gas transit system to Nord Stream.

M.Gonchar, president of the Centre of global studies “Strategy XXI”, expert for energy said in an interview.

“So, the transit volume will go down and the system will not be able to function in stable mode. It is because of the small amount of supplied gas and it is not clear what mode will be used for the supply of 5 billion cubic meters and the country will get less of a share of the transit gas,” expert said.
