The authorities won’t deprive the state-owned company Gazprom of gas export monopoly, however, the need for urgent reforms is recognized by the Government and market participants, the Vedomosti writes, referring to federal officials.
The authorities want to compensate for the loss of domestic gas producers, as they are forced to sell the produced gas to Gazprom at a low price, and Gazprom because of these rules is the only company, which benefits after devaluation growth in export prices.
