Severstal to supply over 60 thousand tons of pipes for construction of Southern Corridor

On the results of the tenders held, Severstal, one of the leading vertically integrated steel and mining companies in the world, will supply about 64 thousand tons of pipes, made by Izhora pipe plant (a part of the division Severstal Russian Steel) for the Southern Corridor project.

The supply will include pipes with diameter of 1420 mm, made of steel of K60 grade with external and internal anti-corrosion coating.

“The Izhora pipe plant and Severstal in general have necessary production and technological capabilities to manufacture products according to requirements of our key customer – Gazprom, - director of production of rolled pipe of the steel division Vitaly Motorin emphasizes. - This is a well-known assortment for the enterprise - by results of 2012-2013, over 100 thousand tons of large diameter pipes were produced for the construction of Southern Corridor. To date, the main product specifications have been agreed with the customer. The entire volume of the supply is planned to be shipped in the third and fourth quarters of this year".
