MMK masters new steel grades for the car industry

Magnitogorsk metallurgical plant continues to master promising grades of steel for automakers and manufacturers of automotive components. The technology of manufacture of plates with thickness of 1.2 mm has been successfully tested, the MMK’s Department of Information and Public Relations reported.

In the near future, the plant intends to produce pilot batches of rolled metal with thickness of 2 mm. Their will be delivered customers for internal testing and subsequent use of the material in the development of new vehicle design.
