Bashneft and Lukoil complained to General Prosecutor about “corporate attacks” of their JV

Bashneft OJSC and Lukoil OJSC have sent a letter to the General Prosecutor of Russia, Y. Chaika, asking it to investigate the corporate attacks on their JV “Bashneft-Polyus”. The dispute is connected with the claim of R. Inozemtseva against Rosnedra and Bashneft.

The Arbitration Court of Moscow will consider on August 4th the claim of R. Inozemtseva that was filed on July 4th. The claimant – a minority shareholder of Bashneft – puts in question the introduction by Rosnedra on the changes to the license agreement for the development of the Trebs and Titov deposits, Prime reports. She is also trying to put in question the decision of the Board of Bashneft on the re-issue of the license for Bashneft-Polyus. Bashneft confirmed the acceptance of the claim from the minority shareholder and added it treats the claim normally and the introduction of changes in the license for the Trebs and Titov deposits and its further transfer to Bashneft-Polyus were done in full conformity with the law and necessary corporate procedures. The company uses all the legal methods to prove its position.
