Investments into geological exploration in Yakutia to be over 20 billion rubles in 2014

Investments into geological exploration in Yakutia will make up over 20 billion rubles in 2014, the chairman of the Yakutia’s State Committee, Leonid Kovalev said at the meeting of the Council for Science and Technology Policy under the head of the region.

At the same time, he didn’t specify how much will be invested from the federal budget and how much from subsoil users.

"Last year, over 14 billion rubles were invested into geological exploration, this year the amount will make up over 20 billion rubles. Because of heavy drilling, extensive 2D and 3D seismic work are to be conducted," - he said.
