Russian export prices of chemical industry’s supplies fall significantly

The development of the chemical industry in Russia is now caused by several factors, including the devaluation of the ruble, which allowed chemical enterprises to increase exports and reduce import purchases of individual products against the background of the decreasing domestic demand, as well as by launch of major projects in the field of polymer production, fertilizers, methanol and ammonia in recent years.

By results of the first three months of 2016, the export-oriented chemical industry shows a steady increase - 3% compared with the same period of 2015. Most products of the chemical industry show a positive trend. A distinctive feature of the first quarter of 2016 was a significant reduction in the foreign trade prices.
