“Kitoi” plans to extract 250 kg of gold at Zun Ospa by 2017

​“Kitoi” Ltd plans to reach the volume of gold extraction with the application of heap leaching method of 200-250 kg at the Zun Ospa deposit (Buryatia), CEO A. Lozitsky said.

“Construction and start-up and commissioning works at the Zun Ospa deposit are planned to be held in 2015-2016. Based on the assessment of gold ore reserves, the deposit is planned to be operated for over 20 years. The planned volume of gold extraction until the end of the year is 20 kg, in 2016 – 120 kg, in 2017 – 200-250 kg”, he said.

Constructive suggestions made in the framework of public hearings will be taken into account. After that the conclusion of the State Expertise of Russia will be issued for project documentation.

The Zun Ospa deposit is located in the difficult to reach highlands, in the south-eastern part of the Eastern Sayan.
