SUEK must take measures on maintenance of production at Vostochnoye mine in the Primorsky region

All the necessary measures to maintain the production and jobs at the mine office Vostochnoye in the Primorsky region should be taken by SUEK. This was stated by the first vice-governor Vasily Usoltsev during the meeting with representatives of SUEK and Primorskugol (a part of SUEK).

During the meeting acting general director of Primorskugol Andrei Kukarenko reported on the current situation in the mine office Vostchnoye. Earlier it was reported that on December 9, 2015, the SUEK’s Board of Directors decided to stop the coal mining at the mine office due to the lack of a market in China.

A.Kukarenko explained that at present the reserves of the Vostochny-2 site of the Lipovetskoye coal deposit in the Oktyabrsky district, where the office mines coal by underground method, are practically depleted, the press centre of the Primorye administration reports.

At the same time, in the past few years, the company showd a negative financial result.
