Norway can not expand gas supplies to Europe

Norway is not able to expand gas supplies to Europe. According to the Minister of Energy T.Lien, EU can increase its liquefied gas purchases.

Norway has dispelled the hopes of the Europeans for significant expansion of its gas supply to the EU countries in the case of the reduction of purchases from Russia. “We will be able to increase gas production in the short term , but not by much,” The Minister of Oil and Energy of Norway, T.Lien said in an interview to the newspaper Handelsblatt, published on March 31st. He said that gas production would increase up to 130 billion cubic meters by 2020. In 2013 this figure was 110 billion cubic metres. The most part of the gas is exported to the EU countries.
