Mining Code to contain package of financial incentives for geological exploration development

The Future Mining Code, currently being developed in Kazakhstan, will contain a large package of financial incentives for the development of geological exploration, the Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Nurlan Sauranbayev said on Tuesday.

"The work on the Mining Code has been started; previous amendments mainly concerned the simplifying of procedures, the current procedures to make life of subsoil users easier, and the Mining Code is assumed to contain a large package of financial and economic instruments to encourage geological exploration and to improve the investment climate in the mining industry," - Sauranbayev said during the forum “Minex - Central Asia".
