Construction of Amur gas chemical complex is postponed to 2023-2024

Construction of the Sibur’s project of Amur gas chemical complex has been postponed for the period of not earlier than 2023-2024 in accordance with the terms of the Gazprom’s project implementation, said managing director for economics and finance of Sibur Alexander Petrov in a conference call.

Asked by investors on the timing of the construction of the Amur gas chemical complex, which will consume raw materials from the Amur gas processing plant, he said that it makes no sense to build the complex much earlier than the gas processing plant would be built. "If we analyze the timing of the construction of the Amur gas processing plant, we will see that there is no economic sense to build the Amur gas chemical complex is earlier than in 2023, but rather 2024," - said Petrov. He noted that in 2018-2019 Sibur would conduct research and engineering works.
