Tajikistan counts on 1 million tons of duty-free Russian oil products

The Tajik Energy Ministry has presented indicative balance for 2014 to its Russian colleagues, according to which the republic intends to receive 1 million tons of duty-free oil products from Russia, the Interfax-Ukraina reports.
“The share of gasoline and diesel fuel in the balance is 610 thousand tons, including 250 thousand tons of diesel fuel and 360 thousand tons of different grades of gasoline,” – the report of the Energy Ministry of Tajikistan says.
It notes that the Russian Ministry of Energy has received the document from Tajikistan and considers it.

In the first 10 months, Tajikistan imported over 174 thousand tons of liquefied gas

Over 174 thousand tons of liquefied gas were imported by Tajikistan in the first ten months of the current year. This is by 108 thousand tons more than in the same period of 2012, the republic’s Ministry of Energy and Industry reported.

Russia to begin duty-free supplies of oil products to Tajikistan

Agreement on duty-free supplies of Russian oil products to Tajikistan has been published in official mass media that means its coming into legal force, the Interfax reports, referring to the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe.
The agreement provides for annual supply of 1 million tons of oil products.

Tethys Petroleum sells 50% of its Kazakh assets to SinoHan Oil

Tethys Petroleum sells 50% + 1 stock of its Kazakh assets to SinoHan Oil and Gas Investment B. V., the subsidiary of the Chinese HanHong investment fund.
Tethys will get from the buyer $75 million as the first payment. Besides from that, the company will get the additional payments of up to $30 million in case of enlargement of oil and gas reserves by 2P category (proven and probable) in 2013 and 2014, with corrected to these years.

Tajikistan expects gold production growth by 24.5% in 2013

The mining companies of Tajikistan forecasts gold production increase by 24.5% to 3 tons, silver production by 13.2% to 2 tons in 2013 against 2012, the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the republic states.
Such enterprises as “Zarafshon”, “Aprelevka” and Odina” will contribute to a growth of precious metal production.

China to construct a refinery in Tajikistan by 2016

Chinese company will construct an oil-processing plant in free economic area Dangara in Tajikistan, which will be able to process 1.2 million tons of crude oil per year, the Asia-Plus reports.
Founder of the refinery is the Tajik and Chinese joint venture TK-oil, founded by the Tajik company Khasan and Co. and Chinese Dong Ying heli Investment and Development Co. Ltd.

RusAl gain $275 mln in court from Tajik “Talko”

The Swiss Arbitration Court ruled that the Tajik aluminium plant (Talko) is to pay out $275 million to Hamer Investing Ltd, UC RusAl’s subsidiary, for the incurred loses, inclusive all legal costs, is said in a statement of UC RusAl.
The payments include $112.7 million (the cost of alumina and other raw materials, supplied by Hamer Investing to Talko on partnership basis in 2003), loss of opportunity (shortfall in profits) at $147 million and legal costs at about $14.56 million.

Sarikamysh gas is shared to 30% to Tajikistan and 70% to Gazprom

Tajikistan and Gazprom International have agreed that 30% of gas reserves of the Sarikamysh deposit will belong to Tajikistan and 70% will belong to Gazprom. A source close to Gazprom International told to Radio Ozodi that under the previous agreement Tajikistan shared 25%, but the Government of Tajikistan was dissatisfied with this level of distribution, and while the recent trip of the CEO of Gazprom A. Miller and the chief of its subsidiary Gazprom International V. Gulyayev to Tajikistan they closed the new agreement with the shares of 30/70.
